Having been a road runner all my life, running on trails certainly provide a refreshing experience. If you run regularly, you might decide to take up trail running as road running might eventually become boring for you.
After all, running on grass and mud instead of concrete can certainly rejuvenate your love for running and keep things fresh.
However, the transition to trail running can be punishing. Once you had run on it, you will quickly realise the difference due to the soreness or pain you might have never experience before, from your ankles to your quads and of course lots of bruises along the way.
