Had a really nice run from East Coast Park passing by so many amazing sights like Gardens By The Way and Singapore Flyer.
Whenever I go for a long run at places that are not near my home, the Old Brother me always look for places with free parking. Where better than the awesome East Coast Park, where I get amazing views of the sea.
I parked at the B1 carpark near The Road Safety Community Park and kick start my run from there. I had not run around the Marina Bay area for years and was really soaking in all the amazing sights all around me.
From Gardens By The Bay > Marina Bay Sands > Art Science Museum > F1 Pit > Singapore Flyer and much much more. The run location really gives one motivation to run longer and furthur. The route is wide and comfortable, despite the thronging tourists on site.
I tried to run a loop back to East Coast Park where my car is, but I was hopelessly lost! I end up doing an additional 6km cooling down run to finally make it back to my starting point. This include me having to run past the Singapore Sports Hub and the Tanjong Rhu estates.
By the end, my legs felt wobbly but thankfully, it was an evening run where the Sun has already gone to sleep. Phew…
Will continue to try to improve my 10km speed before my upcoming race next month, or at least reach my Personal Record of 49mins from 6 years ago. Let’s do it!
